The Hernandez Family had a vision 30 years ago when they opened the Mexicantown Bakery, now they have the vision to shape what this neighborhood will be for the next 30.
The project will become a Destination Icon not only for the City of Detroit but Nationally, a place to visit as tourists come to the city.
We are showcasing two of the most amazing crafts from Mexico :: The Art of Mexican Bakery and the Mezcal Resurgence; using these two crafts as inspiration we will take every visitor trough an incredible discovery of space and tradition.
Bakery, Mezcal & Mexican Traditions.
The inspiration: Create spaces and an atmosphere where the dialogue of the old and the new stimulates discovery, that is how this intervention intertwines architecture and gastronomy through experiences, walkthroughs, textures, aromas and the play between light and shadow.
The project is divided into Three Places in One:
Bakery - 1st Floor
Mexican Restaurant - 2nd Floor
Floating Terrace - 3rd Floor
