A project in Southwest Detroit with the purpose of regenerate and urbanize pedestrian area of the city.

We know that to make a city work urbanistically, we need to take into account different points. There are different reasons why a city needs urban planning.

The first is that it means a framework for growth. Cities have a vision that they must follow through a framework to achieve development in an orderly manner.

A correct urban form is very important, for example, housing, employment, accessibility and security are the main concerns of the inhabitants in the cities.

The main objective of the North Corktown Greenlinks project is urban accessibility. An urban plan with bikeways and pedestrian paths that have interaction with points of interest of Detroit.

Bicycle paths are a better solution against car use, since they provide an infrastructure where the cyclist can move quickly and safely, without invading the space of pedestrians. And, of course, they improve the ordering of traffic, since drivers do not have to be as aware of the movements made by cyclists or pass them by changing lanes.
